Our journey, our values, our family

Sisu Millworks is the culmination of a lifelong journey in construction and woodworking. I began by owning a general contracting company focused on custom interior remodeling, where I developed a passion for quality craftsmanship and the details that transform a house into a home. From there, I built a custom woodworking shop, creating handcrafted furniture and one-of-a-kind pieces for clients. Later, I expanded my experience by managing large public-sector construction projects and serving as a superintendent for a private construction company. Each chapter taught me something valuable. Sisu Millworks brings those experiences together, allowing me to combine craftsmanship, leadership, and a passion for creating exceptional work under a name that reflects the values I believe in.

Sisu Millworks is built on the strength of family and community. My wife, Amy, is my partner in both life and business, helping guide the company with wisdom, encouragement, and a shared commitment to serving our clients well. My dad is my best friend and one of my greatest mentors. Through every stage of my career, he has been a constant source of wisdom, encouragement, and honest advice, supporting me in both my professional and personal life. Our children are growing up around the craft, learning the value of hard work, integrity, and creating something with their own hands. I’m also grateful for a trusted group of fellow craftsmen and friends who challenge me, keep me accountable, and continually sharpen my skills. Together, they remind me that great craftsmanship is built on strong relationships, humility, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
